About Dr. Matt Vogt

Hey there! I’m Dr. Matt Vogt, and my passion is helping dentists like you live the life of your dreams. As a dentist and a coach, nothing gets me more fired up than helping dentists break the status quo in this demanding but rewarding profession.

If you’re reading this, I’m going to guess you’re a dentist like me. My hope is that you’re here with the intention of learning, growing, and elevating your potential for your career and your life.

Maybe you’re trying to make your practice more productive or profitable. Maybe you’re seeking more time with your family. Or you could just be looking to start or purchase your very first practice.

Whatever it is, hear me out: The only thing holding you back is YOU.

With a focus on clear vision and intentional action, I help clients to:

  • Decrease time spent at the office
  • Increase profitability
  • Hire and train a great team
  • Decrease stress and worry
  • Provide exceptional patient care

A week after I graduated from dental school, I signed the lease for my startup dental practice after years of dreaming, planning, and setting my sights on ownership. It was not the popular path, but I knew it was the right one for me.

A mentor and a friend had originally agreed to help me through the process, but a family crisis left them completely out of the picture after I signed on the dotted line. With $450,000 in student loans, a $350,000 practice loan, and zero patients, there was no other choice but to work HARD – day by day, brick by brick – to build this practice from the ground up.

Fast forward to today. Our practice has grown to include a team of nine employees and an associate dentist. I work about ten to twelve days a month. The loans are long gone, and with a keen focus on investing and personal finance, that “crazy” decision years ago has afforded me a wonderful living and more time with my wife, our two stupid dogs, and a golf club in my hands.

Now I continue to practice dentistry while coaching dentists like you how to follow a similar path, one that fits your specific goals.

Was it easy? Heck no!

It was hard, and it was stressful. It took massive amounts of energy and years of studying from the best teachers, books, and podcasts. It took sacrifice in my relationships. It took time to learn how to become a team leader, a clinician, and a business owner. And I’ve made just about every mistake you could imagine along the way.

But along that path, I realized that the “noise” of the dental world was not tailor-made to my practice or my life. Blindly following the advice from Facebook groups or online forums was a recipe for being normal. I didn’t want normal, I didn’t want the status quo, and neither should you.

Most importantly: I NEVER want you to go through the stress and heartache that I went through at the start of my ownership journey.

Hiring a coach of my own during my growth and working with someone one-on-one who could understand my goals and my own specific situation was the best decision I ever made. It allowed me to plan, focus, and execute with a clear vision. It held me accountable for my actions and opened my eyes to possibilities I couldn’t see myself.

If you’re ready to make the next step in your life or career, let’s get in touch.

I work with several different types of dentists:

  1. Existing practice owners looking to get more out of their career and life
  2. Those looking to start their own practice from scratch, helping to manage the steps along the way to avoid costly mistakes
  3. Associates not sure of the next steps to take, helping to evaluate whether purchasing an existing practice or starting a practice from scratch is the right move

Do any of these sound like you?

If so, I encourage you to check out some of the FREE resources we offer to dentists, including our podcast, which is full of tips to elevate your practice and life. And whenever you’re ready to take your life and career to the next level, reach out via email or the contact form below.
